Awards

The John Muir Chapter annually recognizes volunteers and organizations through its annual award program, but we need your help to identify these deserving citizens. So, take the time to think about those within your group or community that inspire you with their volunteer charity and nominate them for a Sierra Club award.

The John Muir Chapter has identified six award categories that honor volunteers, government official, or organizations that champion environmental protection. Review the awards and what they represent to craft your nomination. For a list of 2004 and newer recipients click here, for 2003 and older, click here. (PDF file)

Awards Nomination Information

Please fill out the Nomination Form, and submit it with a one page letter documenting why your chosen individual or organization deserves recognition, and what award you'd like to nominate them for - if you have a preference. Nominations due to the Awards Committee by August 1, 2007.

Awards will be handed out at the Autumn Assembly Saturday dinner. See here for details on AA.
