The Annual Meeting of the John Muir Chapter will be held on October 12-14, 2001 at Camp Helen Brachman, the Children's Outing Association Camp, near Waupaca, Wisconsin. The Fox Valley Group is hosting this year's Annual Meeting. Camp Helen Brachman is approximately 25 miles west of Waupaca and is located south of Highway 54. A map indicating the location of the camp will appear in the September/October issue of the Muir View, or click here.

The Main Lodge will be the site for meals and large group activities. Families will stay in the Retreat Center. Individuals may stay in a heated cabin or the Guest House. Tenting is also available. Bath facilities are indoors with hot water and showers.

The Camp will provide food service and beds with mattresses. Guests are expected to provide bedding and towels, all weather clothing, personal gear and snacks.

A complete schedule of programs, workshops, speakers, and special activities for children will appear in the September/October issue of the Muir View. The programs scheduled for the Annual Meeting were selected with the idea of providing information about environmental issues, concerns and programs that are of importance in the Fox Valley Area.
