The Wisconsin Sierra Club is proud to carry on the tradition of environmental activism that Wisconsin is famous for. Our state has a rich heritage of environmental leadership. John Muir, Sierra Club founder, spent his youth here learning to love the wild places of the earth. We are proud to Preserve, Protect and Explore Wisconsin.

Mercury Rule Doesn’t Go Far Enough, Fast Enough
To Protect WI Families

The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources is currently seeking public comments on their latest revision to the mercury reduction rule, NR 446. The Sierra Club believes that the revised DNR rule does not go far enough, fast enough to protect Wisconsin families. Read the press release for details.

 

The Sierra Club encourages citizens concerned about mercury contamination in Wisconsin to attend the upcoming public hearing at 9:00 a.m. on Monday April 7 in room G09 of the GEF 2 Building, 101 S. Webster St, Madison, WI. Written comments will be accepted on the Mercury rule until close of business Monday April 14, 2008.
